HOW DO I BEGIN?
Volunteer Orientations are scheduled periodically and attendance is required before beginning volunteer work. A Note for Students: If you are volunteering to meet a class requirement or are a Service Learning Student, the process is the same and you must attend an orientation.
The next orientation will be scheduled for the end of August, 2010.
Please check back for the specific date and time.
Please also note:
- Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age
- Volunteers must have proof of a negative tb test administered within the last 12 months. This test can be done at Almost Home Kids by appointment once orientation is completed. Your doctor’s office and health department can also administer this test.
- Volunteers are asked to commit to 10 hours within 2 months of orientation
- Please use the directions on our website as we are tricky to find. Mapquest and GPS may not give accurate directions.
