Marianjoy Medical Library has received a grant from NN/LM, Greater Midwest Region, National Library of Medicine (NLM) to build Information Connections, a Web site for parents of children with developmental disabilities and chronic diseases with a focus on Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Down syndrome, and Traumatic Brain Injury. This project is based on parental needs identified and documented by Marianjoy’s Pediatric Director Mary Keen, M.D., a leader in the field of developmental disabilities, and the needs assessment done by the Principal Investigator Nalini Mahajan, the Director of Marianjoy Medical Library and Webmaster. We are pleased to enter into a partnership with the Marianjoy Medical Library in their proposed work towards building this customized Web Site. Once completed, this incredibly helpful Web site will be accessible to anyone that has Internet access.  Right now, Nalini and her staff are conducting an online needs assessment survey. Feedback from Parents of children with developmental disabilities, Special Education/Nursing/Health Sciences/Teachers/Professors/Counselors is critical to the successful design of this site.  Please take a few minutes to complete the survey.
